TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING PROGRAM

The MCC Automotive Collision Technology Engineering Program offers comprehensive curriculum for individuals aspiring to become Collision Repair Technicians. This program leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree and combines classroom lectures, laboratory activities, and an entry-level technician internship at a participating company. At MCC, the Auto Collision Technology program prepares students for hands-on careers in the collision industry, covering various aspects of car repair such as metal finishing, frame repair and alignment, panel replacement, major body repair, and auto body painting. Unlike traditional programs, MCC Automotive Collision Technology Engineering Program students secure employment before starting the program, providing valuable on-the-job training alongside their studies. While the program requires effort, the benefits are significant. MCC Automotive Collision Technology Engineering Program students acquire the necessary skills for entry into a highly skilled profession, gaining ample opportunities to practice and develop these skills through on-the-job training.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The Collision Engineering Program is looking for people with passion, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Upon Admission, students must obtain an apprenticeship with a qualified collision repair center. The majority of employers will require a valid driver's license and clean driving record, a clean drug test and a high school diploma or equivalent.
